Everyone will tell you that it’s just about the quality of your content. And that’s one important part of the equation. But when you are building on a platform, it is vital that you understand the mechanisms of that platform.
For Instance
- Hashtags on X are making you look amateur. They are not adding visibility to your posts, and they are making your audience cringe.
- Your follower/following counts should not equal each other. As much as people talk about “community”, the majority of those same people are maintaining their ratio with the ferocity of a hungry cheetah chasing an antelope.
- Commenting on Large Accounts is so 2022. It’s a played out tactic that might get your comment a bunch of views, but it doesn’t lead to many followers.
